Homegrown Recap: December 28, 2021 – Nashville NYE, New Blood & An Online Game Of Death
  • Brent is back in the studio (with bells on)

  • Country Music Calendar Spotlight: On this day back in 1991 Diamond Rio’s Meet in the Middle was the first Country debut single to go #1.

  • Another morning of Kane Brown trivia for tickets to his show in Seattle in January. We’ll have another text-to-answer question tomorrow morning for Kane Brown Tickets
    • Q: What Country Music star was a classmate of Kane’s?
    • A: Lauren Alaina

  • Dierks Bentley has been named as one of the headliners of New Year’s Eve Live! Nashville’s Big BashBentley will pay homage to the spirit of Music City alongside Dan + Shay, Zac Brown Band, Jimmie Allen,Gabby Barrett, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker and many other country stars who are part of a vast lineup. The show is broadcasting live from Bicentennial Capitol Mall beginning at 8PM ET on CBS. This marks the first time Nashville has served as a location for a national New Year’s Eve television special.

  • Both Brent + Nikki are caught up on the show Dexter: New Blood. There are only 2 episodes left in the season, and they are wondering if the show will be renewed for another season, or if there will be a spin-off of some sort.

  • Brad joined Nikki + Brent in the studio to tell them about MSCHF’s latest drop, a game called Tontine, modeled after the investment scheme of the same name. To participate, each player must pay a fee of $10 dollars during the active signup window and then log in everyday. If you fail to log in, you die (in the game). The last person alive win’s the pot. It sounds a little too “Squid Game-ish” to us.

Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki can be heard weekdays from 6-10am on Country 104.7fm, online at KKRV.com or on the Audacy app.
