Homegrown Recap: March 15, 2022 – Beware the Ides of March
  • Interact w/Homegrown: Do you think Dolly Parton made the right decision dropping out of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Nomination?

Dolly Parton announced on Monday (March 14) via social media that she is bowing out as a nominee for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

Parton was announced as a nominee earlier this year alongside Pat Benatar, Eminem, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie, and more. According to her post, she does not feel that she has “earned that right” to be inducted.

“I hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again—if I’m ever worthy,” Parton writes. She goes on to say that this opportunity has inspired her to release a rock & roll album in the future.

  • Brent is out today. They picked up their new puppy. Nikki has not revealed the name – she is letting Brent tell everyone himself. Send him some good vibes so that the puppy doesn’t poop on his pillowcase!

  • TOM BRADY is officially un-retired.  He announced yesterday he’s returning for a 23rd season, and yes, he’s staying with the Bucs.  He says, quote, “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands.  That time will come.  But it’s not now.”After 40 days of retirement, TOM BRADY has decided that he would rather be pursued and mauled by 250-pound men than spend any more time with his wife and kids.

  • Newly-crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert has announced her eighth studio album, Palomino, will be dropping on April 29. The 15-song project opens with a slow build vibe on “Actin’ Up,” serving as the first in a series of postcards from the road, images and moments. Tapping longtime songwriting collaborators Luke Dick and Jon Randall to co-produce with her, Lambert once again pushes the envelope of what country music can contain and the stories that it can tell.attachment-lambert palomino cover

  • Country Music Calendar Spotlight: In 2005 Miranda Lambert released her debut studio album Kerosene which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, as well as number 18 on the Billboard 200. The album spawned four Top 40 Country Chart singles; however, only the title track was a major hit, peaking at #15.
