Weekend Wildcard Action: A Visit from Damar Hamlin Powered the Buffalo Bills to Victory

Bills safety Damar Hamlin was discharged from a Buffalo hospital last week, and on Saturday, he visited his teammates at the team’s practice facility in Orchard Park.

And it worked, because the Bills outlasted the Miami Dolphins in AFC Playoff action yesterday, 34 to 21.

Last night, the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens 24 to 17.  The go-ahead touchdown came on a goal line fumble by the Ravens that was returned for 98 yards by Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard.

It was the longest fumble recovery returned for a TD in playoff history.

Next week, the Bengals play the Bills.  Their last meeting was canceled after Damar Hamlin collapsed.

In Saturday’s AFC matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a 27 to 0 first-half deficit, to beat the L.A. Chargers 31 to 30.

In NFC action, the San Francisco 49ers mauled the Seattle Seahawks 41 to 23 on Saturday.

And on Sunday, the New York Giants upset the Minnesota Vikings, 31 to 24.

Tonight, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Dallas Cowboys.
