The Top Historical Events We’d Visit if We Could Time Travel

If I could time travel, I’d probably just go back to the day before last week’s Mega Millions drawing.  But that wasn’t an option listed here . . .

Someone polled 2,000 Americans, and asked which historical event . . . or “historical scene” . . . they’d want to travel back to and see in person.

I guess we’re assuming you couldn’t DIE, because most of the top picks wouldn’t exactly be safe.

First place is a tie between Ancient Egypt and the American Revolution.  (I feel like fans of the show “Outlander” might be behind that second one.)

The rest of the top picks, in order, are:  Ancient Greece . . . the Viking Age . . . Italy during the Renaissance . . . Europe during World War Two . . . Normandy on D-Day . . . and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

(Here are a few more that might make your list:  The Moon landing . . . Woodstock . . . the birth of Jesus . . . MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech . . . the first atomic bomb . . . and how about hangin’ with dinosaurs when that asteroid hit?)
