Random Pop Culture Facts from the 2000s

So we could do one of two things this morning:  We could work, or we could just read off a list of random pop culture facts from the 2000s.  Guess which one we’re choosing?

1.  Anne Hathaway was the NINTH choice to play Andy in “The Devil Wears Prada”.

2.  JoeyJC, and Chris from ‘N Sync have cameos in “Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones”.

3.  “Finding Nemo” is the best-selling DVD of all time.

4.  Mike Myers originally recorded his “Shrek” dialog in his normal voice.  After seeing a rough cut of the movie, he asked if he could re-record it in a Scottish accent.  Re-doing the movie to fit his new dialog cost an extra $4 million.

5.  The iPod’s name was inspired by the line, “Open the pod bay door, Hal,” from the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey”.
