New in Theaters: “Book Club 2”, Ben Affleck in “Hypnotic” and Charlie Day’s “Fool’s Paradise”

1.  “Book Club: The Next Chapter“  (PG-13)  Trailer

Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen, and Candice Bergen are all back in this sequel to 2018’s “Book Club”.  In this one, the ladies decide to go to Italy for a bachelorette party for Jane’s character (Vivian).

2.  “Hypnotic“  (R)  Trailer  (Limited)

Ben Affleck is a detective investigating the mystery behind his missing daughter, a secret government agency, and reality-bending crimes that are related to hypnotics.  It stars Alice Braga from the USA Network’s “Queen of the South”,  William Fichtner from “Prison Break”, and J.D. Pardo from “Mayans M.C.”

3.  “Fool’s Paradise“  (R)  Trailer  (Limited)

It’s a satirical comedy written, directed by, and starring Charlie Day.  He plays a mute man who was recently released from a mental facility, and he happens to look exactly like a method actor who won’t leave his trailer.

Ken Jeong is a publicist who discovers him and somehow turns the mute guy into a huge star, with the help of a producer played by the late Ray Liotta.  The rest of the star-studded cast includes Kate Beckinsale, Adrien Brody, Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, John Malkovich, and Edie Falco.
