Homegrown Recap: November 9, 2021
  • In today’s Country Calendar Spotlight we took a visit to the Mount Rushmore of Country with Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. It was on this day back in 1983 that Pancho & Lefty was released.

  • The CMA’s are tomorrow night, hosted by Luke Bryan. The other Luke, Luke Combs has said to expect something totally different for his performance. The night promises to be star-studded for its presenters as well as the performances. The CMA’s air Wednesday at 5pmPT on ABC.
  • How soon is too soon to start decorating for the Holidays? Both Brent + Nikki have friends who already have their Christmas trees up. Nikki was wondering if the Rockafeller Center Tree is as big of a deal here as it is in NYC – this year’s tree has been picked from Maryland (and not the Evergreen State, booo).
  • Interact w/Homegrown: Are you on Team Snow or Team Sand? Both Brent + Nikki are on Team Sand.
  • The median housing price in the Wenatchee Valley is $501,000 – bad news for Nikki who is currently in the market.
  • The final numbers were announced from the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society from their Kenneled For A Cause Fundraiser. They raised $5,300! Thank you to everyone who donated to Nikki’s portion, which took in a whopping $1,000 for the cause.
  • Darci Christopherson from the Washington Apple Blossom Festival stopped by the studio. Informational sessions for High School Senior girls from Wenatchee and Eastmont who are interested in running for pageant are coming up. Visit www.appleblossom.org for dates and details.

Wednesday morning we’ll be doing Movie Trivia for some Gateway Theater tickets. Nikki has a new twist in the saga of trying to solve her online shopping problem. Listen to Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki weekdays 6a-10a only on KKRV.
