Wenatchee Valley Humane Society Canine Royalty Selection

The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) is participating in the 2024 Washington State Apple Blossom Stemilt Grand Parade and needs a canine king and queen to lead our team. Residents can nominate their dog to be either the King or Queen. Entrants can be any living dog in Chelan and Douglas counties and must be able to participate in the Grand Parade on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Here is how to nominate your dog as king or queen:

Dog owners (or friends of the family) can nominate their pooch on the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society website. Fill out the form to tell WVHS why your dog should be crowned king or queen. All entries are $20.00. Nominations are open from Tuesday, January 16 to February 16 at midnight. The top 10 dogs nominated will be posted on the WVHS Facebook page and on the website. Then, the public will vote for their favorite royalty at $1.00 per vote. Public voting is open from February 23-March 8^th. Royalty will be announced on March 11^th. Winners will walk or sit on a float in the Washington State Apple Blossom Stemilt Grand Parade.

The canine royalty crowning event will be on Saturday, April 20th at Union Hill Cider Company. The Canine royalty will receive a crown and robe, a certificate and royal treatment from the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
