Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

DOUGLAS COUNTY SOLID WASTE WILL BE HOLDING A HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENT ON SATURDAY APRIL 15TH FROM 8AM TO 2PM. THIS WILL BE AT 110 2 nd Street NE, East Wenatchee . ACCEPTING ALL BATTERY TYPES, POOL CHEMICALS, AUTO FLUIDS, PESTICIDES, PROPANE TANKS, FLOURESCENT BULBS, SHARPS AND GENERAL HOUSEHOLD CHEMICALS. MANY PAINTS WILL STILL BE ACCEPTED EXCLUDING LATEX/OIL BASED PAINTS, STAINS, AND VARNISHES. GOOD NEWS IS PAINT WILL BE ACCEPTED YEAR-ROUND NOW! MUST BE A DOUGLAS COUNTY RESIDENT- PROOF OF RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED.
Due to year-round Paint Collection Drop-off sites in Douglas County, NO Latex paint, oil-based paint, stains or varnish WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT

♦ Batteries, Antifreeze ♦ Fuel ♦ Contaminated motor oil, brake fluid ♦ Cleaning products, spot removers ♦ Weed and bug killers, insecticides ♦ Lawn fertilizers ♦ Swimming or hobby chemicals ♦ Cylinders (propane or helium) ♦ Fluorescent lamps/bulbs ♦ Sharps

Don’t Bring:

How do you know if a product is hazardous? If the label mentions the words pesticide, caustic, acid, flammable, warning, danger or poison, it is considered hazardous.
Keep products in original containers ~ Store them so they do not tip over during transportation ~ Keep away from children, pets, passenger compartments of vehicle.
