92% of People Who Celebrate Easter Are Loading Up on Candy
If you don’t have young kids, your main connection to the commercialized aspect of Easter is: Candy. (Just like Halloween. Thankfully, these candy holidays are six months apart.)
Instacart has a new survey out . . . and 92% of the people who celebrate Easter say they’ll buy Easter CANDY. And a lot of people are looking for the seasonal treats that aren’t available year-round.
Here are the Top 10 candies people want for Easter:

2. Kinder Chocolate Candy Egg
3. Starburst Easter Jelly Beans
4. Lindt Milk Chocolate Bunny
5. Cadbury Easter Creme Egg
6. Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Candy Eggs
7. Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Kisses
8. Peeps: Yellow Marshmallow Chicks
9. M&M’s Easter Milk Chocolate Candy
10. Brach’s Jelly Bird Eggs
51% of people who buy Easter candy will pick up some JELLY BEANS, which explains why two different varieties made the Top 10. And 42% plan to grab at least one pack of Peeps.
In this survey, 66% of those who celebrate Easter plan to dye eggs, and 78% will eat the eggs they dye so nothing goes to waste. (That’s HIGHER than expected, but with egg prices these days, it makes sense.)
As for the Easter meal, 74% of Americans plan to have ham as the main course. The other dishes may include: Brisket . . . canned green beans . . . asparagus . . . potatoes . . . sweet potatoes . . . and dinner rolls.
According to Instacart, those celebrating Passover often buy: A rack of lamb . . . matzo ball soup mix . . . gefilte fish . . . and brisket.
