The Rudest Cities in America Include Philly (and Philly Has Beef with It)

If you travel regularly, you probably have an opinion on which place had the RUDEST locals . . . especially if you’ve traveled to Philly.

There’s a new study out, which looked into the rudest cities in America . . . but they DIDN’T ask travelers . . . instead, they surveyed 1,500 residents of the 30 largest metro areas in the U.S. and asked them about the rudeness level in THEIR OWN CITY.

In the end, the rudest city, according to its own residents, is:  Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Inquirer has already RUDELY INTERRUPTED to say that Philly isn’t rude, it’s just honest and “straight-forward.”

They share responses from locals saying that the city is only rude “if you’re a baby,” and they even point out that there was an iconic billboard in the city that said, “Philadelphia isn’t as bad as Philadelphians say it is.”  (???)

Here’s the Top 10 rudest cities, according to their residents:

1.  Philadelphia

2.  Memphis

3.  New York City

4.  Las Vegas

5.  Boston

6.  Detroit

7.  San Francisco

8.  Washington, D.C.

9.  Los Angeles

10.  Houston

On the flip-side, Austin is the most POLITE city in America.  San Diego is next, followed by Fort Worth, Texas . . . Nashville . . . Indianapolis . . . Chicago . . . Columbus, Ohio . . . Oklahoma City . . . Milwaukee . . . and Denver.
