Good News: Costco Parties, Magical Portals, and a “Mom Experience Translator”

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

1.  Dove Chocolate launched a free career tool for Mother’s Day to help women close the “Mommy Gap.”  That’s when there’s a break in your résumé because you had a kid, or you were a stay-at-home mom.

It’s called the “Mom Experience Translator“, and it uses A.I. to transform “mom skills” into job skills.  For example, wrangling your bratty kids might work better if you said you’re proficient in “multitasking and operational coordination.”

2.  A cool art installation opened in Manhattan this week called “The Portal“.  It’s a live feed to another portal in Dublin, Ireland, so you can see what people are up to, and they can see you.  (Here’s a photo, and here’s a video from Dublin.)

3.  A 27-year-old guy in Tennessee named Clint Blevins loves Costco.  So his wife Emma threw him a unique surprise party this week.  She pretended they were just there to shop, but secretly got 30 of his closest friends and family to arrive first.

He started seeing them one by one as he walked around the store and thought it was just a fun coincidence.  He finally realized it was a planned thing when he saw his grandmother.  (Here’s the video.)
