Did your Labor Day cookout have the BEST barbecue foods?

A poll for the end of grilling season had people put different cookout foods in one of four categories:  The best of the best . . . the ones that are good but not great . . . ones we think are just okay . . . and foods we’d rather skip altogether.

Here are all four categories and which foods made each one . . .

1.  The ‘best’ foods for a barbecue:  Burgers . . . hot dogs . . . cheese . . . grilled chicken . . . chicken wings . . . steak . . . ribs . . . potato salad . . . corn-on-the-cob . . . and beef brisket.

2.  The ‘good-but-not-great’ foods:  Pasta salad . . . pork chops . . . kebabs . . . avocado . . . grilled seafood . . . and grilled vegetables.

3.  The ‘just okay’ foods:  Sweet potatoes . . . chips . . . grilled mushrooms . . . lamb chops . . . onions . . . bacon . . . pineapple . . . and grilled bananas.

4.  And finally, the foods we’re most likely to pass up:  Coleslaw . . . couscous . . . rolls . . . pitas . . . chorizo . . . grilled eggplant . . . grilled cauliflower . . . and grilled pears.  (SWNS)
