An Emotionally-Charged PSA About Guide Dogs

We found this PSA from the “Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation” that is so poignant, it’s worth sharing. It opens with a wounded soldier in a war zone who’s on his back and frustrated because he can’t get up and help a fallen child who’s a few feet away.
Just then a fellow soldier comes over to comfort him, and he starts licking the guy’s face. Then it cuts to the present and you see that it’s actually a guide dog who recognized the veteran’s nightmare and is waking him up. The tagline says it all:
Quote, “We train dogs to guide people with a trauma out of a nightmare because we not only help people who cannot see, but also those who’ve seen too much.”
