Three Ways to Lower Your Stress Level at Work

A recent survey found the most stressful parts of the average job are the workload . . . your confidence in the FUTURE of your job . . . feeling like there’s a lack of purpose or direction . . . and our co-workers are fourth.

Here are three ways to lower your stress level at work . . .

1.  Just say no.  If your workload is too much, it’s usually not by choice.  Just make sure you’re not voluntarily taking on too much.  Sometimes we do it to ourselves.

2.  Make yourself more valuable.  You won’t worry so much about losing your job if you’re learning new skills and finding new ways to contribute.

3.  Don’t get stuck in a rut, and don’t settle.  The best careers are built on a series of minor adjustments along the way.  So ask yourself what you like about your job, and what you don’t like.  And be on the lookout for other jobs or positions that are better.
