The Five Healthiest Things to Drink if You’re Sick of Water

If you’re bored with plain old water, an NFL nutritionist shared his list of the healthiest OTHER beverages to reach for.  Spoiler alert:  Sugary stuff like soda and Gatorade didn’t make the list.

1.  Decaffeinated coffee or tea.  Caffeine is a diuretic, so it can leave you less hydrated than things that don’t have caffeine.

2.  Coconut water.  It’s loaded with electrolytes like potassium and magnesium.

3.  Milk.  It’s about 90% water, and it’s got essential nutrients like calcium.

4.  Cucumber water.  Just dump a bunch of cucumber slices in a pitcher and let it sit for a while.  Or infuse it with other things, like berries or lemon slices.

5.  Flavor packets.  Not all of them are healthy though.  Look for ones that use natural flavoring, little to no added sugar, and don’t pack a lot of calories.
