If Your Friends Were Talking Behind Your Back, Would You Want to Know?

They say ignorance is bliss, but what about in this scenario:  If two friends were talking about you behind your back and saying NEGATIVE things, would you want to know?  Or would you rather not find out?

Someone polled 10,000 Americans, and only around two-thirds said they’d definitely want to know about it.

64% said yes . . . 22% wouldn’t want to know . . . and 14% weren’t sure, or think it depends on what’s being said.

Women were a little more likely to say they’d WOULD want to know.  And men were more likely to say they wouldn’t.

The big downsides of finding out are you might feel hurt by it, and it could affect your friendship.

And you could also argue that gossiping about friends is something everyone does to a degree, even if you care about them.  So is it really a big deal?  (YouGov)
