Homegrown Recap: November 30, 2021 – Giving Tuesday, Christmas Movies & High Class Problems

  • Is the Seahawks season over? Before last night’s game Nikki notice that her team, the NY Giants, and the Seahawks had the same record. After a Giants win she was predicting a Seattle win for MNF. When that didn’t happen, the Seahawks went the way of your Thanksgiving leftovers, right in the garbage.

  • Today is Giving Tuesday – and that doesn’t just mean giving of items or money. It could mean giving of your time or energy (if you have any of that left). One of our favorites for this time of year is the NCW Community Toy Drive.

  • A total solar eclipse will occur on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to spot it. This eclipse will be unusual as the path of the total eclipse will move from east to west across West Antarctica, while most eclipse paths move from west to east. This reversal is only possible in polar regions.

  • Nikki has a high-class problem. Now that her boyfriend has gotten the Christmas lights up on the house, she wants him to fix the timer. She’s noticed the last couple of days when she leaves (realllllly early) for work, and its dark, that the lights are not on. She wants to be able to enjoy them as much as possible. Brent came to her boyfriend’s defense, but Nikki’s man is an electrician, so he should be able to figure it out!

Is your house decorated for the holidays? Enter into the KKRV Tour of Lights and it could win you a season of snow removal.

  • Darci Christopherson from Washington State Apple Blossom Festival stopped by to remind everyone that the mandatory information meetings for girls interested in the royalty experience. They also have some great Apple Blossom and Wenatchee-themed gifts on their website at appleblossom.org.
