Homegrown Recap: November 22, 2021 – Toy Drive, Lost Wallets & Bring Country Stars to Thanksgiving
  • Interact w/Homegrown: Which Country star would you want to have at your Thanksgiving table?
    • Nikki chooses Luke Combs – she thinks he would be a super down-to-earth kinda guy
    • Brent chooses Willie Nelson – we don’t begin to guess why. But we know there better be more food available for late night munchies.

  • Country Calendar Spotlight: It was on this day in 2008 that “Start a Band” from Brad Paisley went number. The duet with Keith Urban was from Paisley’s 6th studio album Play.

  • Jump Start Trivia – We do this every Monday morning. Congrats to Rhonda who won a dozen donuts from Sure To Rise Bakery.
    • Q: What part of a man do most women say they would change if they could?
    • A: Their hairstyle

  • We pulled an audible and made our “Comb Luke’s Lyrics” contest slightly more difficult this morning. Darren correctly identified the song from the lyric we gave and he’s going to see Luke Combs at Lumen Field in June.
    • Lyric: “that drove me crazy”
    • Song: “Beer Never Broke My Heart”

  • We had Kirk from Les Schwab Tire Centers in the studio this morning to talk about the NCW Community Toy Drive. You’ll start to notice boxes at drop off locations and events are kicking off this weekend! Help Christmas happen for every child in the Valley!

  • Brent + Nikki talked to Jessica from Numerica Credit Union about the Wallet Drop that they are doing on Small Business Saturday. 50 wallets with $100 worth of gift cards for local small businesses will be dropped between 10a-2p on Small Business Saturday to help stimulate small business commerce.

Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki can be heard weekdays from 6-10am on Country 104.7fm, online at KKRV.com or on the Audacy app.
