Homegrown Recap: November 10, 2021

• Interact w/Homegrown: Tonight is Country’s biggest night. The CMA’s air tonight with Luke Bryan hosting. There’s a star-studded line-up of performers and presenters. Who do you think is going to win Entertainer of the Year: Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Christ Stapleton or Carrie Underwood? 
• You needed to know the keywords (hockey puck) to win a pair of tickets to the Homegrown Home Opener tomorrow night as the Wenatchee Wild take on the West Kelowna Warriors at the Town Toyota Center. Another chance to win Thursday morning.
• Country Calendar Spotlight – Happy Birthday to Miranda Lambert. She turns 38 today (the same age as Nikki Darling). We rocked out in the studio to her hit Kerosene, the title track from her debut album.

• Nikki gave in to temptation and got a subscription to Showtime so that she could watch the new season of Dexter. Brent + Nikki both give the first episode of the much anticipated return two thumbs up. In other TV news, Squid Game is officially renewed for a second season. Nikki has watched the entire first season, Brent has not.
• In this week’s What’s Up Wenatchee? podcast Nikki talks to Jordan Gonzalez, Communications Manager from the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society about where the donated money from Kenneled for a Cause will be allocated. Listen to the entire podcast here.
• Nikki stumps Brent when he tries to guess who is this year’s People’s Sexiest Man Alive. Brent guessed Harry Styles then Daniel Craig. Believe it or not, Paul Rudd was named this year’s winner. Hey – we think funny is sexy too!
• Supply and demand is high for your Thanksgiving food staples, so you might want to think about stocking up early, if you haven’t already. Also, the American Farm Bureau says this might be the most expensive Thanksgiving yet, because of the price of individual items. Just remember – gratitude is absolutely free!

Tomorrow morning Brent + Nikki will have another chance at some Wenatchee Wild tickets. They will also be reviewing whether or not they agree with the winners & losers of the CMAs. Listen to Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki weekdays from 6a-10a.
