  • Brent and Nikki got a visit from Mama Kay who delivered Nikki some flowers and chocolates as a welcome gift to KKRV. Well, to be more accurate it actually a Kalanchoe PLANT and not flowers. Mama Kay must not know about Nikki’s black thumb when it comes to plants. So, here’s hoping Nikki’s career at KKRV lasts longer than she’ll keep that plant alive!

  • A Christmas Story should really get a sequel! Said no one ever. But yet, it’s happening. Titled A Christmas Story Christmas, the feature intended for HBO Max will be directed by Clay Kaytis, who already tackled the snowy holiday season with The Christmas Chronicles for Netflix and has a script by Nick Schenk, the writer behind recent Clint Eastwood movies such as Gran Torino and The Mule, sitting under the leg lamp. While the original movie followed Ralphie, a nine-year old boy who desperately wanted a Red Ryder BB rifle and was set in 1940, the new story will take place in the 1970s and sees an adult Ralphie return to his house on Cleveland Street to deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up.
  • Netflix’s Squid Game is officially renewed for a second season. Green light!

  • Some really important work is getting done in the Senate. There is a bill going forward to try and make pickleball the official sport of the State of Washington.
