Homegrown Recap: December 2, 2021 – Walker Hayes’ Christmas Decorations, Decorated Bucks & Concert Bucket Lists

  • Country Calendar Spotlight: Gene Autry’s, “Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer” was named CMT’s top Country Christmas Song for “Timeless Holiday Celebrations”

  • A buck near Alberta got into the Christmas spirit early. He has been seen walking around town with a strand of Christmas lights stuck in his antlers since Nov. 3rd. Take a look.

We think he’d be a good candidate for the KKRV Tour of Lights (if he were in town).

  • Thursday night football tonight sees the Saints against the Cowboys. Both Brent and Nikki are rooting for the Saints just out of principle. However, with recent events pointing towards Russell Wilson heading towards the Saints this could be the last time they get any Homegrown support.

  • Walker Hayes has been previously unable to afford blow up inflatables to decorate his home for the holidays, despite the fact that they are the wish of his 6 children. He jokingly told them “if daddy get’s a number one song on country music radio, I’ll get y’all some inflatables.” This year, his kids are celebrating in Fancy fashion.

Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki can be heard weekdays from 6-10am on Country 104.7fm, online at KKRV.com or on the Audacy app.
