Homegrown Recap: December 1, 2021 – Nat’l Xmas Lights Day, Local Heat Wave & Things To Do During Christmastime
  • Interact w/Homegrown: Since Nikki isn’t heading back East to NJ to see family this holiday season for the first time EVER, give her a suggestion of some fun and festive things to do during Christmastime in our area.

Take your friends and family on a festive ride through town by following our interactive map of the Tour of Lights. More houses to be added as they are submitted into the contest.

  • Country Calendar Spotlight: On this day in 2008 Blake Shelton was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. At the time this hit was running the Country Music Charts

  • Wenatchee is in the middle of a record-setting heatwave (for Nov/Dec). This doesn’t bode well for skiing and snowboarding at Mission Ridge and Steven’s Pass. But Winter has a way of catching up with itself, so we’ll wait.

  • According to all of you who interacted with us on Facebook yesterday, your favorite Christmas movies are White Christmas and It’s a Wonderful Life.

  • We played Price Is Right rules for Polar Express movie tickets at the Numerica Performing Arts Center. You needed to guess how much all of the items in the 12 days of Christmas would cost this year (without going over, of course). The answer was $41, 206. Apparently, 8 maids a-milkin’ will only cost you $58. We think that’s bull (you see what we did there?).

Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki can be heard weekdays from 6-10am on Country 104.7fm, online at KKRV.com or on the Audacy app.
