Homegrown Recap: April Fool’s Day the Homegrown Way
  • Interact w/Homegrown: Happy April Fool’s Day! Do you enjoy pranking people, being pranked, both or neither?

  • Brent and Nikki pulled their own little April Fool’s prank (but in a positive way). They claimed they were supposed to give away concert tickets but didn’t have them “in-hand” so they couldn’t give them away. Wanting to still do a giveaway they gathered things from around the office – a new legal pad, a half of a roll of quarters and some Clorox wipes. The winner actually received tickets to see Blake Shelton at the Washington State Fair! April Fools!!!

  • Country music powerhouse Carrie Underwood made her grand return to the Resorts World Theatre in Sin City to continue her Reflection: Las Vegas residency. On Saturday, March 26, the vocalist invited her mother, Carole Underwood out on stage to join forces on chart-topping single, “All-American Girl.”

  • The 2022 Grammy Awards are this Sunday April 3, 2022. They’ll broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ from 8 PM to 11:30 PM EST. Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Brothers Osborne & Brandi Carlile will perform. Underwood is a multiple nominee in the 2022 Grammy Awards. She’s up for Best Country Duo / Group Performance alongside Jason Aldean for their duet on “If I Didn’t Love You,” and her faith-based album, My Savior, is nominated for Best Roots Gospel Album.Mickey Guyton and Chris Stapleton lead the nominations in country categories with three nominations each. Kacey Musgraves scored two nods, both of which are for her new song, “Camera Roll,” and Brothers Osborne, Miranda Lambert and Sturgill Simpson also picked up two nominations in country categories.Jimmie Allen is nominated for the all-genre award for Best New Artist in 2022, while Brandi Carlile’s “Right on Time” is nominated in the all-genre Record of the Year category.Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton both received nominations in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal category, for their albums That’s Life and A Holly Dolly Christmas, respectively.
  • Nikki’s boyfriend and his 17 yr-old son found a snail on the beaches of Hawai’i and decided they wanted to keep the shell (see picture). They took the snail home and failed to clean it before sticking it into the suitcase and heading back to SeaTac. Upon arriving home, every-single-thing-in-the-darn-suitcase smelled like DEAD SNAIL! #Ew
A snail by any other name would still not smell sweet
