  • Congratulations to all the Grammy winner’s from last night!

  • Brent + Nikki watched the rain fall this morning while the sun was shining. Office Maven, Shari, mentioned that that “the Devil must be beating his wife.” Confused we looked up the idiom and it stems from the allegory that the Devil hates sunshine so much that he beats his wife when the sun shines and it makes her cry (which makes it rain). This reminded Nikki of when she was little and her grandmother used to tell her that thunder was when God was bowling in heaven.

  • Bill Fries, the deep-voiced country singer known as C.W. McCall, who turned an ad campaign for an Iowa bread company into the outlaw trucker anthem, “Convoy,” which reached No. 1 on the charts in 1976 and inspired a Sam Peckinpah movie, died on Friday at his home in Ouray, Colo. He was 93.

  • Country Music Calendar Spotlight: Brad Paisley went to #1 back in 2014 with his hit River Bank.

COMING UP: Spring Into Cash is back starting Wednesday!

Homegrown w/Brent + Nikki can be heard weekdays from 5:30-10am on Country 104.7fm, online at KKRV.com or on the Audacy app.
