Homegrown Recap: April 12, 2022 – ICYMI It’s SNOWING in APRIL!

  • The CMT Music Awards were last night. Some of Homegrown’s reactions:
    • Nikki was right to be skeptical about the Jason Aldean/Bryan Adams duet. It was spotty, at best.
    • The Judds performance was definitely a highlight, and we’re not surprised that they have now announced (another) final tour.
    • Miranda Lambert won an award for a song on an album that hasn’t even been released yet. Go Miranda!
    • Maybe Kelsea faked having COVID so she could stay home and cohost in her jammies

  • Were you able to identify our “Funny and Famous” audio clip this morning? It was Will Farrell from Anchorman. You’ll have another chance to guess tomorrow morning at 7:50am for a pair of tickets to Laugh Riot.

  • Blake Shelton topped the list of the richest country music stars from last year. He sold off a good portion of his music catalog and raked in $85 million for the year.
