Good News: Free Meals, a 63-Leaf Clover, and One Family You Don’t Wanna Mess With
Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .
1. An elementary school in Mississippi wanted to keep handing out free meals to kids this summer through a program called Backpack Buddies. But they didn’t have enough food until an influencer named Matthew Bounds stepped in to help.
He posts recipes on TikTok and has an account called Your Barefoot Neighbor with 1.4 million followers. So as soon as he posted something about it, food donations started flooding in.
They created an Amazon wish list. And in the first 15 minutes, his followers bought everything the school needed for the entire summer.
2. A family of taekwondo teachers near Houston saved a woman from being assaulted on Tuesday. They heard a guy attacking her in a business next to their studio and beat the snot out of him.
The dad held him down for 10 minutes until cops got there. All five members of the family are fourth-degree black belts. (Here’s a photo.)
3. What’s 15 times luckier than a four-leaf clover? How about a 63-leaf clover? (???) A guy in Japan grew one by cross-pollinating for the past 12 years. He was trying to break a world record and did. The previous record-holder was a 56-leaf clover grown in 2009. (Here’s a photo of the new record holder.)
