Four Tips If You’re Feeling Stuck on Groundhog Day

Happy Groundhog Day!  Here are four tips if you’ve been feeling stuck in a rut lately . . .

1.  Stay active.  It’s tougher in the cold winter months, but it’s so important for both our physical and mental health.

2.  Stay connected.  Getting regular face time with friends and family helps us feel more connected.  We’ll also be less likely to miss out on important events and milestones.  And even if you have to connect from a distance through Zoom or social media, it’s better than nothing.

3.  Stay structured . . . and unstructured.  Certain daily habits like getting to bed on time, having a regular meal schedule, and exercising helps us stay focused.

But it’s also important to have some unstructured time in your day for variety . . . maybe reading one day, watching Netflix another day, and doing something creative another day.

4.  Stay informed . . . to a point.  It’s almost impossible to look away from all the bad news on our phones every day.  It’s good to be informed of current events, but it’s also crucial to be mindful of your overall news and social media consumption.
