Four Things to Look Forward to in June

New month!  Here are a few things to look forward to in June . . .

1.  In sports:  The NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat start tonight, and run through at least June 9th.  Game 7 would be on the 18th.  Then the Stanley Cup Finals between the Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights start this Saturday.

Also, golf’s 123rd U.S. Open is the 15th through the 18th.  And in tennis, the French Open runs through June 11th.

2.  On TV:  HBO’s new music industry drama “The Idol” lands this Sunday . . . season 16 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” starts on the 7th . . . the Tony Awards are June 11th . . . “Project Runway” returns on the 15th . . .

“Outlander” returns on the 16th . . . “The Righteous Gemstones” is back on the 18th . . . season two of “The Bear” hits Hulu on the 22nd . . . “The Bachelorette” is back on the 26th . . . and season three of “The Witcher” premieres June 29th.

3.  In theaters:  “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” opens tomorrow . . . “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” comes out next Friday . . . “The Flash” hits theaters June 16th . . . and the final Indiana Jones movie, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”, lands June 30th.

4.  And finally, the holidays:  The big ones are Father’s Day on the 18th, and Juneteenth on the 19th.  Also, it’s Pride Month, with Pride Day on June 28th.  And the first official day of summer is the 21st.

A few more:  Tomorrow is National Donut Day . . . National Best Friends Day is June 8th . . . Flag Day and National Bourbon Day are both on the 14th . . . the 19th is National Martini Day . . . and National Selfie Day is June 21st.
