Together in HOPE Event, Friday, April 29th, 2022
[Wenatchee & E. Wenatchee, WA] — On April 29th, 2022, Serve Wenatchee Valley is hosting “Together in HOPE” where community members will shine our lights on the old walking bridge, symbolizing our connected community and the collective unification of us all. “This event offers an opportunity for members of our community to come together and express our HOPEful vision for our shared future” says Thom Nees, Executive Director of Serve Wenatchee. “Amidst all that seems hopeless, HOPE still shines like a light in the darkness and that light is us.”
Here’s the vision. On the first Friday of Apple Blossom, community members can stop by one of two check-in stations between 6:00-8:00 pm. On the Wenatchee side at Pybus Public Market, on the East Wenatchee side, at Gateway Park. After dark, at 8:45 pm, community members can join the Apple Blossom Royalty to be in place on the walking bridge over the Columbia River on the South end of the Apple Capital Loop Trail. All lights will be turned off, and then a coordinated lighting will begin. Bring your own flashlights, headlamps, high intensity spotlights, or simply use your phone lights.
There will be coordination of the lighting with instructions available by visiting www.servewenatchee.org and clicking on the Together in HOPE icon.
Members of our community are invited to pre-register for the event by visiting www.servewenatchee.org/together-in-hope-2022 or finding the post on Serve Wenatchee’s Facebook and/or Instagram pages.
Pre-registering will make sure you have a HOPE flashlight reserved and will get you up to date notifications.
