Petting zoo and membership drive!
October 26, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Saturday, October 26th from 10am to 2pm at the parking lot of Coastal Farm and Ranch in East Wenatchee, local families with school-aged youth and families are encouraged to come and see what 4-H is all about! The featured event is a petting zoo with animals dressed up in their Halloween costumes sponsored by the Gone Country 4-H Club! Coastal will be supporting our efforts with a BBQ hot dog fundraiser with all proceeds going to 4-H programming. The Chelan and Douglas County Program Assistant, Michelle Lain will be on-site to answer questions about how youth or potential volunteers can get involved.
4-H offers year-round opportunities for youth to learn by doing. While immersing themselves in projects like robotics, sewing, raising livestock, training pets and horses, cooking, baking, leadership, technology, and many others, youth are also learning through these experiences and strong mentorship from peers and volunteers how to be strong, resilient, and confident adults. Skills and experiences from 4-H have shaped the lives of thousands of members of our community for many years. There is a place in 4-H for everyone. Come find out how you or your family can get involved. Animal ownership not required.
