Earth Day Fair presented by Sustainable Wenatchee

Sustainable NCW (formerly Sustainable Wenatchee) is hosting an Earth
Day fair at Pybus Market on Saturday, April 23rd from 10am until 2pm. The event will feature 25
booths by local organizations and small businesses. This is Sustainable NCW’s fourth time
hosting the event. The event is sponsored by Chelan County PUD, Link Transit, The Nature
Conservancy and Waste Management.
Returning this year are family-friendly activities including the chance to check out one of Link
Transit’s electric buses. Plug In NCW will once again feature several different models of electric
vehicles and electric yard equipment.
Other organizations will be sharing info about:
– biking in the Wenatchee Valley
– how to get involved with gleaning fresh produce for local food banks
– information on sustainable animal agriculture and regenerative farming
– firewise information on forest health and fire adaptive communities
– Eastmont Key Club will be accepting both gently used and worn out shoes for donating and
recycling
– recycling experts will share how to recycle right and offer tips of what’s really recyclable,
including a demo of Sustainable NCW’s brand new recycling directory, the Waste Wizard
