Coronavirus Quick Hits: This Isn’t the Start of a Second Wave, It’s Still the First Wave

Here are some of the major coronavirus developments that are making headlines right now . . .

1.  With the number of coronavirus cases surging in many parts of the country, there’s talk of this being the “second wave.”  Well . . . according to several scientists and experts, it’s not the second wave.  It’s still part of the first wave.

2.  The CDC says states may need to reinstate strict social distancing if cases rise, quote, “dramatically” with everything re-opening around the country.  The CDC also released some basic guidelines for navigating life as things re-open.

3.  A new study found almost HALF of people infected with coronavirus don’t have any visible symptoms.  That’s why it’s important to wear a mask:  You may have coronavirus without even realizing it.

4.  A new poll found the businesses that people have found “essential” during the pandemic.  The top five are:  U.S. Postal Service . . . Clorox . . . Google . . . UPS . . . and Walmart.

5.  Could the pandemic plus the worldwide protests lead to a massive migration?  A study showed that major, “world-changing” events often lead to people looking for new, safer places to live.
