Binge-Watching Is the #1 Thing That Keeps Us Up Late, and 88% of Us Do It

The average American says their #1 priority in life is their family . . . and #2 is SLEEPING.  So you’d think we’d treat it with a little more respect than this . . .

A new survey asked people if they ever stay up later than they want, just to keep BINGE-WATCHING stuff on TV.  And 88% of us do it.  That includes 95% of people between 18 and 45.

Binge-watching is by far the #1 thing that keeps us up late.  Here are the top four . . .

1.  Streaming TV shows or movies.

2.  Reading.  71% of women and 61% of men have lost sleep because they couldn’t put down a book.

3.  Watching sports.  Just under 60% of us sometimes choose sports over sleep.  75% of men and 45% of women.

4.  Playing video games.  59% of men and 42% of women do it.  People under 35 are almost twice as likely to do it as people older than that.

So how do we feel when we wake up groggy the next morning?  24% of people in the survey also said they usually feel frustrated with themselves when they prioritize entertainment over sleep.
