An Astros Pitcher Gave World Series Tickets to Fans Who Were Taunted By Yankees Fans
Houston Astros pitcher LANCE MCCULLERS JR. is giving World Series tickets to some fans who were taunted by New York Yankees fans at Game Five of the ALCS in New York last Friday.
The three fans were visiting New York, and scored tickets to the game. They decided to wear Astros gear, which naturally made them a target . . . since Yankees fans aren’t exactly known for being classy.
One guy tried to start a fight, and others threw food and a beer at them. Eventually, security came and escorted the Astros fans to other seats so they could finish watching the game.
McCullers said, quote, “Fans of all teams should be celebrated for loving the game, not treated like that. I look forward to having you watch a World Series game in [Houston] on me.”
This Astros fan had to be escorted from his seat after getting beer and popcorn thrown in his face
