Actors Who Regretted Explicit Movie Scenes

It’s not uncommon for actors to do explicit scenes . . . and regret them later.  Here are some examples:

1.  Mary-Louise Parker:  While she did some explicit sex scenes for Showtime’s “Weeds”, the one she regrets the most was just a nude scene in a bathtub.

She says, quote, “I didn’t think I needed to be naked, and I fought with the director about it, and now I’m bitter . . . I wish I hadn’t done that.  I was goaded into it.”

2.  Helen Mirren:  She’s participated in her share of onscreen naughtiness, but always reluctantly.

Quote, “I’ve always had a problem doing nudity.  I hated it!  I hated the fact that I hated it, however . . . “I always felt it was something I should get over, as well.  I might seem uninhibited, but believe me I’m not!”

3.  Natalie Portman:  She stripped for Wes Anderson’s short film “Hotel Chevalier”. . . and while she doesn’t necessarily regret it, she’s bothered by the way it was splashed all over the Internet.

Quote, “I don’t really have regrets.  It’s more that I don’t like misappropriation of stuff, like when you create something as part of a story and then a piece of it ends up on a porn site.  It’s meant to be a dramatic scene and part of a story.”

4.  Emily Blunt:  She got naked in 2004’s “My Summer of Love”, but you’re probably not going to see much more of her naughty bits.  She says, quote, “I’m not so keen on doing nudity, because I’m not 22 anymore . . . [and] I don’t think it’s necessary most of the time.”

5.  Kate Winslet:  Yeah, you’ve seen her naked plenty of times.  But the one she regrets is “Titanic”. She says fans approach her with copies of Jack’s sketch to this day.

Quote, “I wish I hadn’t shown so much flesh, but I was young and I knew I had things to prove.”

6.  Taylor Lautner:  If it were up to him, he would have been done taking his shirt off after the “Twilight” movies.  Quote, “I don’t want to become known as just a body.”

7.  Jessica Brown Findlay was pretty new to the business when she showed her breasts in the 2011 movie “Albatross”.  And like a lot of young actresses, she didn’t know she had a choice.

Quote, “To be honest, it was naivety and not knowing that I could say no.”
