Good News: Boats, Lawyers, and Water Balloons

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .
1. Ten years ago, a woman in Minnesota named Sarah Gad was in and out of jail and hooked on opioids. But a judge gave her one last chance to sort her life out, and she did. She got off drugs . . . became a LAWYER . . . and just got an innocent man’s murder charges dropped last month.
And here’s the kicker: The day the case got dropped, she ran into that judge who gave her one last chance. He asked what she was doing there, and she said, “I work here now.”
2. A cop in Florida stopped a runaway boat last weekend by jumping from one speeding boat to another. The sheriff’s department posted his chest-cam footage and set it to the song “Jump” by Van Halen. (Here’s the video.)
3. The New York Yankees invited a 10-year-old girl to a game this week, and she got to meet the players. Her name is Alexa Cardova. She was at a Fourth of July parade on Long Island last month, where politicians and others march down the street . . . and you’re ENCOURAGED to throw water balloons at them.
She chucked one at a politician named Bruce Blakeman, and hit him in the HEAD from a pretty good distance. The video went viral after he re-posted it and said the Yankees should sign her. (Here’s the video.)
