18% of Americans Say They’ve Been Told They’re Mowing Incorrectly?

In the age of social media hacks and tricks, it’s easier than ever to learn that you’ve been doing something WRONG.  Which is just . . . wonderful.

In a new poll, 40% of adults say they’ve witnessed their own parents making mistakes while CLEANING and doing other chores around the house.  And about HALF have tried to correct them.

Overall, they asked people what cleaning tasks they have been told they are doing wrong, the #1 answer was FOLDING LAUNDRY.  Which makes sense, since everyone seems to have their own spin on the “right” way to do that.

Here are the 10 chores people have been told they’re doing incorrectly.

1.  Folding laundry . . . 33% say they’ve been told they’re doing it wrong.

2.  Mopping / sweeping . . . 28%

3.  Doing laundry . . . 26%

4.  Loading the dishwasher . . . 25%

5.  Doing dishes by hand . . . 23%

6.  Gardening / yard work . . . 21%

7.  Mowing the lawn . . . 18%  (???)

8.  Cleaning the toilet . . . 17%

9.  Cleaning furniture . . . 16%

10.  Dusting . . . 16%

(It’s hard to imagine how that many people could be told they are mowing wrong . . . since it’s a pretty straightforward task.)

(That said, my dad did have to lecture me as a child about NOT driving the lawnmower around the yard . . . writing my name in the grass.)
