The 1st Annual YWCA Soup Porters is Saturday, October 13th from 11am-5pm at Memorial Park in Wenatchee. For $15, you'll receive an event t-shirt; samples of each competitor's soup; a bowl of your favorite soup; and a bottle of water or coffee. The Soup Challengers will be collecting donations. The top three soup winners will be determined by the amount of money donated. Once you've tasted all the soups, you're asked to vote by placing money in the donation jar for that soup. The top three voted soups will be featured at YWCA Cafe AZ. The money raised at this event will go to help support YWCA Wenatchee Valley and the critical services that YWCA Wenatchee Valley offers. 'Soupeteers' are: Wenatchee Police Dept; Wenatchee Fire Dist. #1; S.A.G.E.; Farmers Insurance - Matt McColm Agency; Service Alternatives; Chelan County Prosecutors; The Center; and Town Auto Group.
