Afternoon Blog # 2: Brandon Asks Women To Stay Out Of The Men’s Room
I just got back from vacation and already I’m being hounded to write another blog. Luckily, I got some good material Saturday night at the Garth Brooks concert.
First of all, and this is completely unrelated to the blog topic, Garth was FREAKING AWESOME. Brent and I got to go backstage with Garth and Trisha Yearwood prior to the show which is rare, if not unheard of this day in age. Both Garth and Trisha were SO laid back, nice and genuine. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I’ll definitely never forget. (Oh, and the show was pretty good too!)
But that’s not the topic of today’s blog. No, I write this today with a favor to ask of you ladies…please stay out of the men’s bathroom!
Seriously, I couldn’t believe how many women were in there at the Garth Brooks show Saturday night. At any given time there were 30-40 women in line to use the men’s room. And that’s not the first time I’ve seen this – I witnessed it at the Eric Church show back in February, and more recently at the Keith Urban show in Spokane.
And look, I’m not trying to get into an argument about the controversial bathroom law. That’s for people who want to use the bathroom that aligns with the gender they identify with. That’s not what I’m referring to. I’m referring only to the women who want to use the guy’s bathroom because it’s more convenient for them. Just imagine if a man decided he wanted to use the women’s room because it was more convenient! A man who did that would likely get arrested.
I get it ladies, I really do. The line is long for the women’s bathroom because y’all take forever in there. That’s fine – it’s your thing. But don’t come and gum up the works over in the men’s room. We’re quick in there, usually in and out in less than five minutes except when there’s bunch of women using our bathroom.
Not only is it annoying for us, but it’s also a little awkward to have a bunch of women crowded around you while you’re trying to pee. I mean, how would you like it if a bunch of guys were standing around while YOU were trying to go? Maybe I’m totally off base here (and if you think so feel free to leave a comment) but is it really that outrageous to ask women to stay out of the men’s room??
Either way, Garth Brooks was awesome. If you get a chance to get tickets for the show in Spokane next week – TAKE IT!
